Project
Title: Livelihood for Women - Dress
Making & Rug Making (with Sewing Machine)
Rationale
Women’s
organizations in the barangay play a crucial role in fostering community
development and promoting gender equality. These organizations empower women by
providing a platform for them to voice their concerns, share their experiences,
and advocate for their rights. One significant contribution of these
organizations is providing economic opportunities for women, enabling them to
be economically productive and promoting overall economic welfare for their
families.
In
the _______ Expanded ARC, many women choose to stay at home to care for their
children, making their families dependent on the husband’s income. This
scenario is common in rural areas. With the increasing cost of living, a family
in the _______ ARC needs to generate at least ₱15,973 per month to meet basic
needs, which is challenging for many. Providing an additional source of income
for unemployed women through dress making and rug making is a practical
solution, especially given the current demand for dressmakers in the
municipality.
